1. Who we are
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any services provided by Gray's Handyman — Welcome to the Gray Side ("we," "us," "our"), operating from 7503 3200 W, West Jordan, UT 84084, phone (801) 687-5189. By using this website, requesting an estimate, or hiring us, you agree to these Terms.
2. Estimates and quotes
- Estimates given by phone, text, or from photos are preliminary and based on the information you provide. Final pricing is confirmed after an on-site assessment.
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise on the quote.
- Quotes cover only the scope described. Hidden damage, code violations, or conditions not visible at the time of the estimate (water damage, mold, failed framing, non-compliant wiring or plumbing) may require a change order.
- No change order is performed without your approval. We will tell you the added cost before we proceed.
3. Scheduling, access and cancellations
- You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the work area, along with water and power where required.
- Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments where no one is available to provide access may be subject to a trip charge.
- Timelines are good-faith estimates. Weather, material availability, inspections, and conditions discovered on site can affect the schedule; we will keep you informed.
4. Payment terms
- Small repair and handyman work is due upon completion unless other arrangements are made in writing.
- Larger projects may require a deposit for materials and progress payments at agreed milestones, as stated in the written scope.
- Balances unpaid more than 30 days after the invoice date may accrue a late fee as permitted by Utah law.
- Returned payments may be subject to a processing fee.
5. Workmanship warranty
We warrant our labor against defects in workmanship for one (1) year from the date of completion, unless a different period is stated in your written scope. Manufacturer warranties on materials, appliances and fixtures are provided by the manufacturer and passed through to you.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, settling, or seasonal movement of the structure
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, abuse, or lack of routine maintenance
- Work altered or repaired by someone other than us
- Pre-existing conditions or defects in materials supplied by the customer
- Damage from water intrusion, storms, pests, fire, or other events outside our control
6. Licensed trades and scope limits
We perform handyman, repair, carpentry, drywall, paint, and general renovation work. Scopes that require a specialty license under Utah law — including major electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, and gas work — are performed by licensed subcontractors or referred out. We do not perform work requiring permits without those permits in place.
7. Customer-supplied materials
If you supply your own materials or fixtures, we will install them with reasonable care, but we cannot warrant their performance, fit, or suitability, and additional labor charges may apply if the item is defective, incomplete, or incompatible.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability arising out of any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost rent, lost profits, or loss of use. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Website content
Content on this website is provided for general information and is not a guarantee of price, availability, or outcome. Photos may include representative examples of comparable work. Logos, text and images on this site are our property or used with permission and may not be reproduced without consent.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah. Before filing, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the issue in good faith directly, then through mediation.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time you engage our services is the version that applies.

What we do not do

Quote requests and project records are retained as long as needed for business and tax purposes. Data is stored with a reputable hosting provider using industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to what we actually need.
